About the site

The Philippines has more than 7,000 islands and has a total land area of 30 million hectares. It is subdivided into 3 main islands namely: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The people are called Filipinos and our national language is Tagalog, although English is used frequently as a medium of communication.

The Philippines has many incredible places, some famous and some are not but equally if not more interesting than the famous ones. I have seen a lot of them through my own eyes and wonder why they are not as popular. May be because of the cost, the security, or some of them are hard to reach (i.e. road problems, long hike, boat ride, etc.). In some cases however, they are not popular simply because people doesn’t even know they exist! Sometimes, people who live nearby don’t even bother visiting them. As for me, I love to travel and see natures’ wonders and beauty. Take a journey with me as I will slowly post some of the places I have visited and probably give some tips and advise in maximizing your travel at a specific location. You can make the most out of your travel by knowing where to go and how to manage your time more efficiently. I also encourage other people who are willing to share to other people on how beautiful their place or the places they have been. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could compile all these ideas and showcase the beauty of the Philippines? We can help improve tourism in the country and at the same time, providing travellers more options to choose from. It’s a win-win situation!

Our country is also rich in biological diversity. There are many plants, animals and aquatic resources that are endemic or can be found only in the Philippines. Unfortunately, many of them are already endangered because of the destruction of their wild habitats. Let us all do our best to help minimize if not completely eradicate their extinction. Once they are lost, they are gone forever. Otherwise our children and our children’s children will just have to enjoy them in books in the Library.
